J.N. WHITE DESIGNS ITAR REGISTERED
Effective October 2008, J.N. White Designs is registered as ITAR compliant. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) controls the export and temporary import of defense-related products and services. Registering as ITAR compliant positions J.N. White Designs to continue and expand its role in manufacturing products used by the military. J.N. White Designs offers a variety of solutions for military applications, utilizing overlays and complex metal panel assemblies, silicone molded keypads, PCBs and high-grade lens materials.

J.N. WHITE DESIGNS AWARDED VISION OF EXCELLENCE
J.N. White Designs was named a 2008 recipient of the Honeywell Vision of Excellence Supplier Award. The award, which recognizes continuous quality improvement and reliable customer service, was presented on September 17, 2008 at a Honeywell Vendor Appreciation Day.

Honeywell’s Sandra Smolen, Analyst Procurement, and Janet Lehman, Scanning QA Manager, nominated the Perry printing firm, citing J.N. White Designs as, “a terrific quality partner, demonstrating the same values as Honeywell: integrity, collaboration, customer satisfaction, innovation and accountability.”

J.N. White Designs’ Customer Service Representative Lorna Fitch, VP of Sales and Marketing Ken Boss, and President/ CEO Randy White accepted the award.

"It was very nice to be recognized by our customer for all our hard work,” said Ms. Fitch. “It means a lot to know they appreciate us and all we do.”

J.N. WHITE DESIGNS RECEIVES HUB ZONE CERTIFICATION
In October 2007, J.N. White Designs received certification as a qualified HUBZone small business concern (SBC). The HUBZone Empowerment Contracting program was enacted into law as part of the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 1997, and encourages economic development in historically underutilized business zones, "HUBZones". SBA's HUBZone program was designed to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas by providing access to increased Federal contacting opportunities.

For 50 years, J.N. White Designs has supplied companies in the private sector with quality screen-printed and digitally printed products and assemblies. HUBZone certification positions the company for additional growth through government contracts, which will create value for its customers, the community and J.N. White Designs.

GLOW EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR
At the December 2004 meeting of the Genesee, Livingston, Orleans and Wyoming Workforce Investment Board (GLOW WIB), J.N. White Designs was named Employer of the Year for Wyoming County. The Company was recognized for utilizing WIB and Department of Labor (DOL) funding to further the skills of its employees, particularly as it related to integrating new technology, which is critical to the growth of the Company. The enhanced skills are highly transferable, and offsetting the training costs with available funding has allowed the Company to invest in new equipment and technologies, as well as increase employee benefits.
